It’s trusting that the same God who has carried you through every season will carry her too.
Here is a short prayer to pray for your daughter:
God,
Today I lift my daughter to you — not because I am worried about her future, but because I want her life to be held by your hands more than mine. You see the parts of her story I can’t see yet. You know the battles she will endure, the dreams she is growing into, and the tender places she still protects. Cover her with your favor. Surround her with your peace. Shape her into a woman who knows her worth because she knows who created her.
Strengthen her where the world might try to dim her light. Guard her heart from people who cannot hold it well. Lead her towards friendships, and opportunities, and environments that reflect your goodness. When the world feels heavy or confusing to her, give her the wisdom to pause, the courage to choose what is right, and the confidence to walk the path you have prepared.
As she grows, help me grow too — into a mother who guides her and supports her without holding on too tightly, and who trusts that you love her even more than I do.
