Perez Hilton’s Website Barely Covers His Bills Now, and Friends Say Every TV Comeback Fell Through Before Sepsis Hit

The website that once made Perez Hilton a millionaire barely covers his bills now, and friends say TV projects kept collapsing as fast as he could chase them. Then sepsis put him in the hospital for weeks, and the medical costs never stopped coming.

Perez Hilton was saying yes to almost anything with a paycheck in the months before his hospitalization, friends tell Naughty But Nice. The gossip website that built his fortune has watched its traffic dwindle and its ad money dry up, and it no longer delivers anything close to what it did at its peak.

The financial strain deepened after a life-threatening bout of sepsis earlier this year left him unable to work for weeks. “Between hospital costs, everyday living expenses, and supporting his family, the financial stress became relentless,” one insider says. “He felt like he was running on a treadmill he couldn’t get off.”

Those close to him say watching the career fade hurt as much as the money did. “He wanted a comeback more than anything,” a source says. “Every opportunity that disappeared chipped away at his confidence, leaving him feeling defeated and forgotten.”

His friends say their hope now is that he puts his health, his family, and his recovery first.
