52-Year-Old Shannon Elizabeth Made $1 Million on Onlyfans in Just 9 Days

When Shannon Elizabeth launched an OnlyFans page in April, the headline number was hard to ignore: a reported $1 million in nine days. But the more interesting part of the story isn’t the figure. It’s where the money goes. Most of it doesn’t stay with the “American Pie” star at all — it funds an anti-poaching rescue she runs in South Africa, right down to a blind black rhino named Manute.
Elizabeth pours a good chunk of her OnlyFans earnings into Animal Avengers, the non-profit animal rescue she’s run since 2001 and now operates out of South Africa, where she moved in 2016.
The 52-year-old actress launched her page in April while going through a divorce from her husband of five years, Simon Borchert — a period she’s described as rebuilding from the ground up. She told Variety her manager (and ex-husband) Joseph Reitman floated the idea after the acting roles dried up and Hollywood residuals thinned out. “For the last ten years I’ve been living off of my savings for the most part because I haven’t been as focused on work,” she said.
The rescue supports anti-poaching programs, rhino-horn trimmings, and a sanctuary where they care for a blind black rhino named Manute. Elizabeth is careful about how the earnings are handled: she says she doesn’t take a salary or bill her charity travel to the organization. “It allows me to cover admin expenses so that all of the charity’s money goes to animals in the field,” she explained. In other words, the OnlyFans income underwrites the overhead so that donations can go directly to the field work.
As for the content itself, her page currently contains no nudity, though she’s hinted that could change. “I’m still exploring it and as I become more comfortable with it, I’m going to push those boundaries.” It’s a measured approach for someone who has spent decades in front of a camera on her own terms.
She’s also not the only familiar name on the platform. Reitman also manages 85-year-old “Knots Landing” star Donna Mills, who joined last month, and Elizabeth joins Bella Thorne, Denise Richards, Cardi B and “Sopranos” actress Drea de Matteo among the celebrities who’ve built followings there. For a growing list of them, the subscription page has become just another place to work — and, in Elizabeth’s case, a way to keep the lights on for a rescue an ocean away.
