Amelia Earhart vanished over the Pacific in 1937, and the search for her plane has never really stopped. This October, a 16-person team is sailing to a remote Pacific island to investigate what might be the wreckage.
The whole search comes down to one blurry shape in a lagoon — an anomaly that satellites first caught in 2015.
A crew is going to dredge the sediment away and find out whether it’s Amelia Earhart’s plane or just a rock.
