Microsoft: 1 in 5 working-age Filipinos use generative AI

One in five working-age Filipinos used generative artificial intelligence (AI) in the first quarter of 2026, results of Microsoft AI Economy Institute’s AI Diffusion Index showed. This was above the global average of 17.8% and placed the Philippines at 55th out of 147 economies. The index measures AI diffusion as the share of the population aged 15 to 64 who used a generative AI product during the reported period.
