Synology sees double-digit growth in PHL

by · BusinessWorld Online

Taiwan-based tech company Synology Inc., widely known for its data storage solutions, is expecting to post double-digit growth in the country by year-end amid its expanding presence in the local market.

“(We’re expecting) maybe double digits,” Antoine Yang, regional sales manager at Synology for ASEAN, told reporters during a roundtable discussion on Tuesday, held in connection with COMPUTEX 2026 in Taiwan.

“It is still robust,” Claire Huang, Synology’s country manager for the Philippines, said, describing the company’s growth outlook in the country.

The company’s optimistic outlook is expected to be driven by growing demand across various industries, mainly government and manufacturing.

“(The demand is) across all industries, but many industries make up a bigger proportion, maybe government, manufacturing, and healthcare,” Ms. Huang said.

For starters, Synology offers comprehensive data management solutions centered on network-attached storage (NAS) powered by its DiskStation Manager (DSM) platform, alongside a broad portfolio of data protection and backup solutions, as well as video surveillance systems, among its key offerings.

The company has been operating in the country for more than a decade and has a growing presence nationwide.

Last May, it launched the PAS7700, an active-active all-flash NVMe (Non-Volatile Memory Express) storage system in the country.

It is designed to deliver continuous, high-performance services for enterprise mission-critical workloads.

During COMPUTEX 2026 in Taiwan, one of the world’s largest annual computer trade shows, which started on Tuesday, the PAS7700 was one of the key showcases.

Moving forward, Synology aims to maintain its partner-led distribution model in the country, saying this approach allows its value proposition to be better tailored to customer needs.

“The reason why we work with distributors is that they are key partners who carry our enterprise products and help deliver the Synology value proposition to end customers, including government, manufacturing, and other industries,” Mr. Yang said.
