2D Drawing to 3D Mesh in Blender 4.3 | Grease Pencil & Geometry Nodes Tutorial + Free Project File

by · BlenderNation

Kevandram gives a super quick overview of some new GP features in Blender 4.3, and shows how to use them!

Hey everyone! In today’s video, I’m going to show you how to convert 2D grease pencil strokes into 3D meshes in Blender 4.3 using Grease Pencil and Geometry Nodes. I’ll walk you through the process step-by-step, and we’ll create some fun drawn mesh lines along the way. This is a great technique to experiment with, especially if you’re into non-photorealistic styles.

I’ve also included a free project file that you can download and follow along with or use to try out your own designs. Keep in mind that this file is only compatible with Blender 4.3, so make sure to grab the latest beta version from blender.org if you haven’t already. Enjoy, and let me know how it goes in the comments!
