TAG Heuer has launched five new references of the Carrera Chronograph Sport, unveiled during the Formula 1® TAG Heuer Gran Premio de España 2026 in Madrid. Marking a decisive evolution of a major pillar within the Carrera line, the new collection represents a complete rethink of the modern racing chronograph. Building on the 2020 generation, the updated silhouette brings sharper proportions, enhanced ergonomics and a more instrument-focused visual identity directly aligned with competitive motorsport.

The release marks a decisive return of one of the brand’s core chronograph pillars, reaffirming the Carrera’s identity as a racing instrument built on precision, clarity and performance. Rooted in Jack Heuer’s original vision from 1963, the new generation adapts the chronograph for modern ergonomics and aesthetics while keeping motorsport at its core.

The primary transformation centers on a reshaped 42mm stainless steel case, downsized from 44mm, paired with a shorter 48.6mm lug-to-lug length and a slimmer 14.17mm profile for a more composed wrist presence. The case features fine-brushed sides, piston-inspired pushers, and a refined bezel combining a visible steel cradle with a polished ceramic tachymeter insert. On the upper right lug, the brand has engraved its signature “Victory Wreath” motif.

Inside, the watches are driven by the in-house Calibre TH20-00 automatic movement, which delivers an 80-hour power reserve behind a sapphire exhibition caseback and is backed by a five-year warranty. The redesign is rounded out by a tapered H-shaped steel bracelet featuring a tool-free easy-link adjustment system, as well as a motorsport-inspired perforated brown leather strap option.

The permanent lineup spans five distinct color configurations designed for high-speed legibility. Departing from traditional applied hour markers, the dials introduce prominent Arabic numerals paired with a redesigned flange and tricompax sub-dial layout. Offerings include a classic black opalin version with red chronograph accents; a classic silver “panda” configuration with black counters; a contemporary teal green dial with silver sub-dials; and two blue sunray executions available on either the tapered steel bracelet or a perforated brown calfskin strap.
