MODMNT's FW26 Collection Turns Military Archives Into a Modular Wardrobe

This season, Japanese fashion brand MODMNT is unpacking its philosophy of module, mode, equipment, and element.

MODMNT, a brand developed by NANGA CO., LTD., one of Japan’s leading outdoor brands, has begun delivering its 2026 Fall/Winter collection.

Taking its name from “Modulement,” a coined term born from the combination of “Module”, “Mode”, “Equipment”, and “Element”, MODMNT reinterprets outdoor, military, and vintage elements through a contemporary lens. By redefining the contemporary wardrobe through a modular philosophy, each piece is like a tool that can be freely selected, expanded, and combined.

This season, MODMNT presents ‘Beautifully Unpredictable.’ The collection translates the free-form processes of layering, removing, adding, and rearranging into its designs, proposing a layered style in which combining different parts creates varying looks.

The core liner down series introduces a new “Navy” colorway, designed to be worn both on its own and layered with other pieces. Among the outerwear, the lineup includes the MK Jacket, which combines details from British Royal Air Force jackets, the U.S. military’s M-41 and CWU-36/P, and airborne trooper gear; the MF Jacket, inspired by the M-65 field jacket; a hooded shirt based on a U.S. Navy smock; and the MAG Pants, based on U.S. military helicopter crew pants and featuring large side-zip pockets.

The collection also incorporates the brand’s own original check pattern construction, expressing MODMNT’s distinctive design language through both color palette and pattern. With the exception of some accessories, the items are produced domestically in Japan, and the down products use Spanish duck down, reflecting the brand’s long-cultivated down manufacturing expertise.
