French furniture brand Tiptoe and Parisian multidisciplinary collective Uchronia have joined forces to unveil “DAYDREAM,” a vibrant collaborative collection debuting at the Grand Palais during Paris Design Week. Showcased within Uchronia’s monumental “Le Grand Bouquet” installation, the capsule blends two distinct design philosophies: Tiptoe’s renowned industrial utility and Uchronia’s deeply poetic, sensory-driven universe.
Described by Uchronia founder Julien Sebban as a “sensory, colour-driven journey,” the “DAYDREAM” concept envisions a suspended dream state where everyday objects break free from their rigid forms, allowing contours to soften and colors to become a highly expressive, emotional language.
Aesthetically, the collection transforms Tiptoe’s signature steel hardware through a profound exploration of organic volume and vivid pigmentation. In stark contrast to the strictly geometric, minimalist lines that have defined Tiptoe’s previous industrial iterations, this new capsule introduces fluid, wave-like curves inspired by the movement of water. This undulating motif softens the brand’s historically rigid silhouettes, elevating functional homeware into sensory art objects. The visual language is further anchored by a bespoke palette of four exclusive, mood-inspired shades: a vibrant Magma Orange, a soft Ice Cream Beige, a nostalgic Chocolate Brown, and an Astral Purple that is uniquely flecked with fine stardust-like glitter to invite contemplation.
Color plays a defining role in the collaboration, with Uchronia developing a palette of four exclusive shades: Magma Orange, a vibrant signature hue; Ice Cream Beige, soft and luminous; Astral Violet, deep with pearlescent highlights; and Chocolate Brown, nostalgic and comforting. These tones are applied across reworked surfaces and sculpted wood tabletops, each ripple carefully cut to respect the grain and natural nobility of the material. The result is a collection that feels both playful and contemplative, inviting users to experience furniture as part of an inner landscape.
