Summary

Danish audio brand AIAIAI and French producer-composer Oklou are releasing two limited-edition headphones as the latest chapter of the brand's Artist Series, arriving July 2026

The over-ear TMA-2 Oklou Edition runs on a modular Bluetooth 5.0 platform with PU leather cushions and more than 40 hours of battery life, built for high-isolation listening sessions

The supra-aural Tracks Oklou Edition centers on 40mm speaker drivers mounted to an aluminum brace that doubles as a sliding rail system for the ear cups

AIAIAI and Oklou are releasing two custom-designed headphones as the next entry in the Danish audio brand’s Artist Series, with the limited-edition TMA-2 Oklou Edition and Tracks Oklou Edition arriving this July.

Rather than channel the collaboration into a single model, the collection splits across two fundamentally different headphone architectures. The TMA-2 Oklou Edition and the Tracks Oklou Edition occupy distinct positions in the listening chain: one is a wireless, over-ear, high-isolation tool built for extended sessions; the other is a compact, supra-aural design engineered around a mechanical rail system and raw driver performance.

The TMA-2 Oklou Edition is built on AIAIAI’s modular headphone platform, a system designed so that individual components (speakers, headband, ear cushions, cable or wireless module) can be swapped and replaced independently rather than discarded as a single unit. The Oklou edition runs Bluetooth 5.0 wireless connectivity with a battery rated for over 40 hours of continuous playback. Ear cushions are over-ear PU leather, configured for high isolation, meaning they create a physical seal around the ear to reduce ambient noise passively rather than through active cancellation circuitry. For a producer or composer working outside a treated studio environment, that isolation architecture keeps the monitoring signal clean without introducing the latency or phase artifacts that active noise cancellation can layer onto a mix.

The Tracks Oklou Edition takes a structurally different approach. Where the TMA-2 prioritizes isolation and wireless endurance, the Tracks is built around a 40mm speaker driver tuned for full-spectrum reproduction with emphasis on tight low-end response and detailed high-frequency articulation. The physical construction centers on an aluminum brace that serves a dual purpose: it provides the structural skeleton of the headphone and acts as a rail system along which the ear cups slide. That rail mechanism lets the supra-aural (on-ear) cups adjust position continuously rather than locking into fixed notches, conforming to the wearer’s head geometry through a single linear axis. The design language is pared back by intent, built around simple lines and a compact silhouette that reflects the AIAIAI Tracks model’s existing reputation as a design-forward portable.

Between the two models, the collaboration covers a range that a single headphone would struggle to address. The TMA-2 is the tool for deep, uninterrupted work: long battery life, sealed cushions, wireless freedom from a fixed monitoring position. The Tracks is built for mobility and directness: a compact frame, open-backed supra-aural fit, and driver performance that prioritizes frequency accuracy over noise exclusion. For a creator whose process moves fluidly between transit, home, and session, as Oklou’s does, having both architectures available under one collection means the listening tool can shift with the context without compromising on fidelity at either end.

“I chose AIAIAI because our approaches to expression are fundamentally aligned,” says Oklou. “It’s not about just making a product; it’s about a reciprocal support system where we lift each other up.”

The Oklou x AIAIAI collection arrives this month via HBX and AIAIAI.
