Ramdane Touhami is set to launch the “24-Hour Proposition Project” on July 1, releasing 60 exclusive T-shirt designs across approximately two months at WORDS, SOUNDS, COLORS & SHAPES in Tokyo and Paris and via a dedicated online store. Each design goes on sale for exactly 24 hours before being permanently discontinued. There are no restocks, no late additions, and no second chances. Once the 24-hour window closes, the design ceases to exist as a purchasable object.

The operational structure is the project’s creative statement. Touhami has established a single rule for all 60 designs: 24-hour availability from the moment each goes on sale, followed by permanent discontinuation. Every T-shirt in the project is produced to order via pre-order within that window, made in small quantities at Touhami’s Paris silkscreen workshop, and delivered approximately two weeks to one month after the order date. The production method — screen printing in small batches rather than mass manufacturing — means the objects themselves carry the mark of the process, with each piece produced by hand rather than at industrial scale. The combination of time-limited availability and small-batch handcraft gives the project a material integrity that straight edition-limited drops typically lack.

The participating studios give the project its visual breadth. More than 15 European and Japanese design practices contributed designs around the theme of mountains and nature, including Bureau Borsche, Zak Group, Studio Temp, Maximage, Norm, Eurostandard, Area Of Work, Hubertus Design, Sebastian Strappazon, Gilian Cachin, Dual Room, Faye & Gina, Harris Blondman, Permanent Files, and Art Recherche & Industrie. Each studio brings a distinct visual language to the same brief, which means the 60-design run functions as a survey of contemporary graphic design practice as much as a T-shirt collection. Bureau Borsche’s typographic energy sits alongside Zak Group’s conceptual rigor alongside Maximage’s Swiss formalism, all filtered through the mountain and nature theme that Touhami drew from his personal preoccupation with human fragility and natural vulnerability.

The physical availability structure mirrors the operational one. WORDS, SOUNDS, COLORS & SHAPES, the Tokyo and Paris retail project Touhami launched in 2024 and 2025 respectively, functions as the project’s physical home.

The 2”4-Hour Proposition Project” launches July 1 at WORDS, SOUNDS, COLORS & SHAPES Tokyo, in Paris, and via a dedicated online store. Each design sells for 24 hours only. Delivery is approximately two to four weeks after the order date.
