N.HOOLYWOOD Launches a Special-Order Brooks Brothers Button-Down Shirt

Drawing on vintage pieces from before the 1960s owned by Daisuke Obana, the shirt recreates the era’s construction and fabric feel.

N.HOOLYWOOD is releasing a special-order button-down shirt made with Brooks Brothers.

For this second installment, following last year’s release, N.HOOLYWOOD designer Daisuke Obana looked to Brooks Brothers button-down shirts from before the 1960s in his personal collection. Re-creating the construction and fabric feel of the era, the shirt is finished in an oversized, relaxed fit.

Vintage-inspired details appear throughout, from the narrow yoke and wide box pleat at the back to the natural roll created by the unlined collar and cuffs, small plastic buttons, and deep side-slit gussets. The front pocket has been omitted for a cleaner look. It has a rounded hem, while the collar is finished with an exclusive tag modeled after the period’s size labels.

The shirt is made from cotton Oxford with a supple texture, then garment-washed to create puckering and a soft hand. It comes only in white and is priced at ¥34,100, tax included.
