LEGO has officially unveiled its largest Ideas release to date, the LEGO Ideas Godzilla, delivering a colossal build designed to dominate fan collections. Revealed on Godzilla Day, the 5,363-piece model brings the iconic kaiju to life based on Legendary’s cinematic Monsterverse design, originating from a fan-submitted concept by designer Matthew Esposito.
Standing over 27.5 inches tall when fitted with its signature blue Heat Ray, the posable action figure allows builders to swap the atomic beam directly into the beast’s mouth in place of its tongue. The articulated Titan features posable anatomy throughout, enabling enthusiasts to position the heavy segmented tail to the left or right, tilt the head back and forth, and adjust the arms, wrists, and individual claws into imposing battle stances. Intricate brickwork recreates Godzilla’s scaly exterior texture and jagged dorsal plates.
“Building Lego Godzilla was a real passion project,” creator Matthew Esposito stated, explaining that capturing the scale, shape, and head structure took over two years before securing 10,000 community votes. Engineered for adult builders, the set integrates with the LEGO Builder app for interactive 3D assembly guidance. In addition, collectors who order the set during its initial launch window will receive an exclusive gift with purchase featuring a brick-built Godzilla logo and footprint display.
The LEGO Ideas Godzilla set will officially release online on November 27 for a retail price of $450 USD.
