AXE Just Revealed the Most Unexpected Luxury Fragrance Drop of the Year
Presenting a new yet entirely unnecessary bottle concept.

You may not expect luxury in spray can fragrances, but behind every AXE product lies a high-end blend crafted by some of the world’s most renowned perfumers. Though its craftsmanship has historically been overlooked, the brand now brings its formulations to the forefront in its new over-the-top bottle concept, the Holder.
This idea is backed by blind testing too. In recent trials, the brand demonstrated that it could hold its own against premium perfumes, with participants choosing AXE scents over more expensive options. It proves that the high-end experience doesn’t require a luxury price tag.
Over the years, the luxury fragrance world has developed a recognizable visual language through sculptural bottles and elaborate packaging. Poking fun at conventional visual cues, the entirely unnecessary Holder accessory wraps the familiar can in a square-shaped bottle to show that luxury is often about the vessel rather than the scent itself.
In the launch campaign, AXE continues to tell the same story. Taking notes from the polished style of traditional fragrance adverts, the Holder is treated with drama through close-ups and low lighting, normally reserved for extravagant bottles, creating a bold statement as well as a playful parody.
The Holder will launch via upcoming activations and collaborations later this year. You can now shop the debut drop in the UK via the dedicated webpage. Those in Mexico can visit the regional webpage from October.
