Kappa Brings Retro Charm to Technical Skiwear in New Collection
Reintroducing the iconic Kappa 222Banda on tracksuits, jackets and overalls.
by Angelee Kholia · HypebeastItalian brand Kappa has launched a new season ski range that reimagines its heritage styles and iconic silhouettes with forward-thinking technicality.
Keeping the needs of different skiers in mind, the latest arrival is made up of three distinctive lines tailored to suit performance. The Premium Collection lands at the top level with staple pieces – including a padded waterproof jacket, overalls and a ski suit – boasting high end breathability and water resistance. To accentuate their premium feel, style features are kept minimal with black and white bases cut through with Kappa’s 222Banda on side panels.
The 6CENTO and 8CENTO follow up with an assortment of alternative styles and cuts for the more casual skier. In the 6CENTO line, retro-look corduroy jackets and fleece tops are cut with a boxy shape for a contemporary flair, while in the final collection, silhouettes become more slim-line with belted jackets and straight-leg pants that can be opened up for added ventilation. Across both collections, the Kappa 222Banda, again, becomes a key feature as it is overlaid on bold neon tones.
