Palace Skateboards is opening its Singapore flagship store on October 3, 2026, setting up inside Scotts Square on Scotts Road. The 154-square-meter space borrows its architectural framework from Raffles Singapore, the Neo-Renaissance landmark and National Monument, and reworks that colonial-era grandeur through the London label’s own graphic codes.
Teak lines both the floor and the ceiling, framing the room in warm wood, while white walls keep the backdrop clean. Two marbles do the heavier lifting: Calacatta Oro, selected as a direct reference to the interiors of Raffles, and Blue Macaubas, whose deep blue tones point to the sea surrounding the island.
Cutting through that polish is a deck wall cast in wood-textured concrete, the store’s most overtly skate-driven element. The feature draws on the Southbank skate scene, a reference Palace previously built into its Hongdae store in Seoul, and it ties Singapore into the shared design vocabulary running across the brand’s retail network. The nod carries weight beyond decor, since the Southbank undercroft is the London spot where Palace’s original crew came up skating.
The center of the floor belongs to an oversized Palace bulldog sculpture, mounted on a stone plinth that lights up in the outline of the Tri-ferg. The impossible-triangle logo was designed by artist Fergus Purcell, whose name gives the mark its title. A large-format LED wall acts as a second visual anchor, and a freestanding mirrored wall carries neon Palace graphics pulled from the brand’s archive.
That logic extends into the fitting room, where the centerpiece is a custom stool cut from Blue Macaubas marble in the Tri-ferg shape. It is a small but telling move, turning the brand’s most recognizable emblem into a piece of furniture shoppers actually sit on.
The Singapore opening adds another stop to a store map that has grown steadily since Lev Tanju and Gareth Skewis founded the brand in 2009. Palace already operates locations in London, New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka, Hong Kong, Shanghai and three Seoul neighborhoods: Apgujeong, Hongdae and Jamsil. Scotts Square extends that Asian footprint south, continuing the label’s approach of shaping each store around the history and character of its host city rather than repeating a single template.
To celebrate, Palace is releasing a limited-edition capsule exclusive to Singapore, covering apparel and accessories including tracksuits, hoodies and T-shirts. The graphics take their lead from the city’s “Lion City” nickname, centering on a custom lion stamp drawn up specifically for the launch.
Palace Skateboards Singapore opens October 3, with the Lion City capsule available to mark the occasion.
