H. Moser & Cie. is revisiting its horological roots with two new additions to the vintage-inspired Heritage collection: the Heritage Chronograph White fumé and the Heritage Centre Seconds Espresso fumé. Heritage is the possibly the most understated line in the Maison’s catalog, but also the one most closely tied to the history of a house founded in 1828. Its design language comes straight from the pocket watch era: round cases, slender tapered lugs from the period when pocket pieces were being adapted for the wrist, and a notched crown stamped with an “M.” The new Heritage Chronograph White fumé and Heritage Centre Seconds Espresso fumé each draw on a different chapter of that history.
The Heritage Chronograph White fumé takes its cues from Moser chronographs of the mid-20th century, when these instruments were made for explorers and adventurers who needed to time their journeys. The White fumé sunburst dial carries the brand’s 1947 logo. The numerals, tachymeter scale, chronograph graduations and subdials are all printed in blue, a contrast that adds vintage charm and improves legibility. Subdials at 3 and 9 o’clock track the small seconds and a 45-minute chronograph counter, while sword-shaped hands and hour numerals are filled with Super-LumiNova. The 42 mm steel case is 13.8 mm thick and houses the automatic HMC 220 Manufacture caliber with a Dubois Dépraz chronograph module, which delivers a power reserve of at least three days. A grey kudu leather strap with matching grey hand-stitching completes the watch, and production is limited to 100 pieces at $34,100 USD.
The Heritage Centre Seconds Espresso fumé recalls the early 20th century, when pocket watches were converted into wristwatches by adding slim lugs. It shares the 42 mm steel case, rounded profile and notched crown, but at 11.1 mm it sits noticeably slimmer on the wrist. The Espresso fumé sunburst dial adds warmth to the classic layout. A white railway minute track frames the edge, and oversized applied numerals in Globolight, a ceramic-based material containing Super-LumiNova, give the dial real presence alongside luminous sword-shaped hands. A logo in transparent lacquer keeps the branding subtle. The sapphire caseback shows the automatic HMC 200 calibre, finished with Moser double stripes and fitted with an original Straumann hairspring, which offers at least three days of power reserve. A brown kudu leather strap with white stitching completes the watch. It is limited to 200 pieces and priced at $18,300 USD.
