SUICOKE and Vibram have collaborated on a unisex take on the Vibram Five Fingers, built around a cow suede upper and a traditional Japanese fastening system. The shoe keeps the articulated five-toe construction that separates each toe into its own compartment, letting the foot splay naturally rather than compressing it inside a single toe box.

The most notable change happens at the collar. Instead of a standard closure, the pair have fitted kohaze clasps, the hooked metal fasteners used on jikatabi work footwear, which hook into place along the opening. It is a functional borrow rather than a decorative one, and it pulls the silhouette toward a distinctly Japanese register.

The upper itself is cow suede, and the entire shoe is finished in a single grey. Working in one tone puts the weight on texture, with the nap of the suede reading differently against the harder surfaces around it, so the depth comes from how each material catches light rather than from any contrast panelling.

Underfoot, the pair have specified Vibram MEGAGRIP, the compound built for traction on slick surfaces.
