Diemme and JJJJound have reworked the Movida in a brown suede colorway, extending a collaboration that keeps returning to the Italian label’s utilitarian silhouettes. Handcrafted in Italy, the latest pair leads with material and construction, building the shoe from premium Italian suede over a full leather lining.
The foundation is a lightweight Vibram sole, chosen to deliver flexibility and grip for daily wear rather than pure performance duty. Above it, the brown suede upper sits on a full leather lining, a combination that leans on Diemme’s technical shoemaking background while keeping the profile clean enough for JJJJound’s pared-back sensibility.
The detailing is where the collaboration earns its character. Black-coated metal eyelets secure black polyester laces, with a single red secondary lace threaded in for a restrained hit of contrast. A woven nylon back tab and a webbing pull tab handle the utility side, making the shoe easier to pull on while nodding to the outdoor archetypes Diemme draws from.
Branding stays subtle across both ends of the shoe. A debossed Diemme logo marks the tongue, while JJJJound’s serif logo appears on the heel tab, splitting the identification between the two houses without disrupting the minimalist finish. Diemme has produced footwear in Italy since 1992 from its base in the Veneto region, pulling from mountaineering and performance references to build refined, function-minded designs, and that lineage runs through every element of this release.
