Diptyque is bringing back its Citrouille (Pumpkin) Classic Candle for Fall 2026, releasing the seasonal scent as a limited edition. This year’s return pairs the candle with a dedicated biscuit porcelain lid, crowned with a decorative pumpkin and made by hand.
The scent is built from the pumpkin outward. Its gourd-forward core reads full and rounded, while a layer of lively spice gives it lift and a generous vanilla adds a sweet, almost edible depth. The intended effect is cozy and upbeat rather than heavy, a candle meant to brighten a room as much as warm it. With this edition, Citrouille slots back into the Maison’s broader library of botanical fragrances.
The lid is the more tactile part of the release. It is crafted from biscuit porcelain, a matte, unglazed porcelain fired without a glossy finish, and finished with a pumpkin ornament on top. Each one is handcrafted, giving the accessory an objet quality that extends the candle’s presence on a shelf when it isn’t lit.
Function sits alongside the form. Placed over the Classic Candle, the lid shields the wax from dust and helps keep the fragrance from fading between burns, so the scent stays fresher across the season. It is designed specifically for the Classic Candle format, which typically holds 190 grams of wax, and is offered as a separate piece rather than bundled in.
The Citrouille (Pumpkin) Classic Candle and White Pumpkin lid are available now until November 15.
