The sale traces six decades of the Rolex model’s design evolution, documenting its transformation from a purpose-built track tool into an enduring pinnacle of watch collecting.

Anchoring the historical lineup is an early Reference 6240 “Espresso Oyster” from 1965, featuring an unpolished case and the complete ‘Oyster’ construction that established the structural blueprint for the model (estimated at $100,000 to $150,000 USD). The selection also highlights the automatic era with a Zenith-powered Reference 16518 “Inverted 6,” encased in warm yellow gold with a crisp white Arabic dial (estimated at $25,000 to $35,000 USD).

Demonstrating the Daytona’s shift toward high-end status and luxury, the collection includes the “Ruby Cardinal,” a white gold reference finished with factory-set diamonds and rubies (estimated at $120,000 to $180,000 USD).
