Fly an Airbus A320 – in only 30 minutes

″This is huge fun,” I say to my instructor as I bank the Airbus A320 at 25 degrees, and start rounding Moreton Island, Queensland, which is 2500 feet below. “And I reckon I’m doing alright.”
There was every reason to be pleased. While surrounded by literally hundreds of buttons and switches, and trying to master pedal operated rudders and so many other unfamiliar controls, I’d taxied for more than two kilometres without venturing too far off the yellow line.
