MacBook Neo Malaysia release - up to 512GB, now available starting from RM2499

After almost a month, the MacBook Neo is finally available for sale in Malaysia. To recap, it starts at RM2499 only. Interested customers can also opt for a monthly instalment for two years, and all four colour options are available. Before we list out the details, below is a recap of the tech specs.

Recapping the Tech Specs

The MacBook Neo runs on the A18 Pro, a processor previously seen in iPhones. Apple claims up to 50% faster everyday performance and up to three times faster AI-related workloads compared to mainstream PCs powered by Intel Core Ultra 5 chips. The chip is paired with a 5-core GPU and a 16-core Neural Engine, enabling support for Apple Intelligence features and improved graphics handling across apps.

On the front, the MacBook Neo features a 13-inch Liquid Retina display capable of showing up to one billion colours. It comes in a lightweight aluminium body weighing around 1.23kg. Battery life is another highlight, with Apple claiming up to 16 hours on a single charge.

Other features include a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, dual microphones, and stereo speakers with Spatial Audio support. The laptop also includes essentials like a Magic Keyboard and a large Multi-Touch trackpad for a familiar Mac experience.

The Sales Details

In Malaysia, the MacBook Neo starts at RM2499 for the base model with 8GB unified memory and 256GB storage. There is also a higher storage variant priced at RM2899, along with a lower educational price of RM2099 for eligible buyers. All four colour options: blush, indigo, silver, and citrus, are available on Apple Malaysia's website.

As aforementioned, interested customers can pay every month, from RM104.13 per month for two years. If they want the higher memory model (512GB), it will be RM120.79 per month for the same time duration.
