Huawei WATCH FIT 5 Series Malaysia release - Brighter displays and advanced health features, starting promo price at RM649
Huawei has officially introduced the new HUAWEI WATCH FIT 5 Series in Malaysia, expanding its wearable lineup with two new models aimed at fitness enthusiasts and everyday users alike. The series includes the standard HUAWEI WATCH FIT 5 and the more premium HUAWEI WATCH FIT 5 Pro, both bringing upgraded displays, new health tracking features, and Huawei’s latest mini-workout experiences.
The WATCH FIT 5 Pro
The HUAWEI WATCH FIT 5 Pro introduces a more premium build compared to previous generations, featuring sapphire glass protection, a titanium alloy bezel, and aerospace-grade materials for improved durability. Huawei says the smartwatch is designed for users who want a more rugged but lightweight wearable experience.
The smartwatch also comes with a 1.92-inch AMOLED display featuring an adaptive LTPO refresh rate and up to 3000 nits peak brightness, making it one of the brightest displays Huawei has used in the WATCH FIT lineup so far. Huawei has also significantly slimmed down the bezels, giving the watch a more immersive screen-to-body ratio.
One of the standout additions in the WATCH FIT 5 Series is Huawei’s new “Mini-Workout” feature. The feature introduces short guided exercises designed to fit into small pockets of free time throughout the day. Huawei has even added an animated panda character that demonstrates stretches and movement exercises directly on the watch face, giving the fitness experience a more playful and accessible feel. It supports exercises targeting multiple body areas, including the neck, shoulders, and back, helping users stay active even during busy schedules.
Health monitoring continues to be a major focus for Huawei’s wearables. The WATCH FIT 5 Pro includes Huawei TruSense technology for heart rate, blood oxygen, sleep, stress, and emotional well-being tracking. The Pro model also introduces more advanced health tools, including ECG monitoring, pulse wave arrhythmia analysis, arterial stiffness detection, and enhanced sleep analysis features. Huawei claims the updated TruSleep 5.0 system can provide deeper insights into sleep quality and stability by analysing different sleep stages more accurately.
Huawei says both models can deliver up to 10 days of battery life with lighter usage, while typical usage is rated at around seven days. The company also claims the devices can fully recharge in approximately 60 minutes. The WATCH FIT 5 Pro further targets outdoor and sports users with features like advanced cycling metrics, trail running support, golf course maps, and free diving capabilities.
The WATCH FIT 5
For users who prefer a slimmer and lighter wearable, the standard WATCH FIT 5 weighs approximately 27g and features a 1.82-inch AMOLED display with up to 2500 nits peak brightness. Huawei also highlights the use of recycled materials in selected variants as part of its sustainability efforts. Despite being the more affordable model, the WATCH FIT 5 still includes features such as Bluetooth calling, GPS support, sleep tracking, and up to 10 days of battery life under light usage conditions.
