Google renames NotebookLM to Gemini Notebook, so you can code with it too
Google recently announced that their grounded NotebookLM would be renamed as Gemini Notebook. According to them, nothing has changed, Gemini Notebook is still a standalone product that refers to your sources but now it is assisted by Gemini so you can “write and execute code natively”. Available for Google AI Ultra users or Workspace business users with AI Ultra Access and AI Expanded Access, it is expected to roll out to all Pro web users soon.
Notebooks in the Google Ecosystem?
While NotebookLM was initially designed for learning and research, we have seen that you can access your Notebooks from the Gemini app as well. According to Google this just means that you can do more with Gemini Notebook across the Google Ecosystem. We hope this doesn’t make it more likely to hallucinate, which was one of the main features of NotebookLM, but we’ll only find out after a bit more testing as our app still hasn’t changed yet.
