The ~RM2024.74 Trump Mobile T1 is actually a HTC U24 Pro with a golden backside - iFixit
If you didn’t know already, there is a Trump smartphone called the Trump Mobile T1. Previously announced last year, it looked like a rebranded iPhone with a gold colour backside. Fast forward to 2026 and while it still has that golden backside, it looks a lot like a HTC U24 Pro. iFixit recently confirmed this with a teardown.
Nearly identical
Priced at 499 USD (~RM2024.74), the T1 apparently has nearly identical insides, features and tech specs right down to the mainboard to the speakers. Even the screen is the same despite the T1 stating it as 6.78-inches instead of the U24 Pro’s 6.8-inches. Oh, and the back, top, bottom and sides are gold coloured too.
The T1 rear camera island is one big one rather than the individual rear cameras on the U24 Pro though, but everything else has been confirmed to be almost the same. That being said, iFixit have given the T1 a repairability score of 3/10, partly because since the U24 Pro was released in 2024, spare parts are hard to come by.
Quite obviously, there are no Malaysia release dates or pricing details for the Trump Mobile T1, but if you do get it we’d recommend you be very careful with it as repairing might become an issue later.
