According to DJI, they are suing Insta360 over the design of the Luna series which they say copies their designs for the Osmo Pocket series. They have also filed a second lawsuit regarding 4 utility patents such as the control device and system. They are seeking a permanent ban on Luna Ultra in the US.
According to Insta360, they are countersuing DJI over 2 patents, namely gimbal stabilization and 360° camera technologies. They also denied any wrongdoing about the Luna Ultra and have said that it is the result of “years of independent R&D”.
