Qualcomm Snapdragon C tech specs and features revealed, including Hexagon NPU for AI support

Qualcomm recently revealed more details about their "budget" Snapdragon C chipset, which includes that it will use 8 Kryo CPU cores,  have a dedicated Qualcomm Hexagon NPU and is built on a 6nm fabrication process. This means that Snapdragon C devices will definitely be able to utilize AI, won’t be slouches in terms of processing and be able to last at least 1 day on a single charge if not more. 

More tech specs and details

On top of using 8 Kryo cores, the Snapdragon C will use a 64-bit architecture with 3.0GHz clock speed and it will come with an Adreno (A643) GPU or graphics running at 900 Mhz. And yes, it will support DirectX 12 with up to 120fps FHD+ resolutions. It will also support both LPDDR5 and LPDDR4 RAM, so we wouldn’t be surprised if a budget Snapdragon C laptop with 8GB - 16GB of DDR4 RAM comes out soon.

It should also be able to support stable connections as it supports Bluetooth 6.0, USB 3.1 and WiFi 6. Still no specific Malaysia release dates or pricing details yet though.

Previously, Qualcomm claimed that laptops built with Snapdragon C could be priced below 300 USD (~RM1225) despite most laptop brands offering such laptops closer to below RM2K or so.
