Malaysia to Host 4th ASEAN Battery Technology Conference (ABTC 2026) this August, organized by NanoMalaysia
Malaysia will officially host the 4th ASEAN Battery Technology Conference (ABTC 2026) from 19 to 21 August 2026 at the Movenpick Hotel and Convention Centre KLIA in Sepang. Organised by NanoMalaysia Berhad (who recently announced production of Malaysian EV batteries), this regional event will focus on scaling battery industrialisation, safety, and market deployment across Southeast Asia. The 3 day summit could help further position Malaysia as the center of the region's clean energy transition.
Strategic Partnerships and Global Expertise to Drive ASEAN Battery Ecosystem
Industry professionals can look forward to insights from global experts, including Professor Ying Shirley Meng and Professor Khalil Amine, alongside regional leaders from MARii and the Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines. The event will also feature several major strategic agreements including a collaboration between NanoMalaysia Berhad and The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia, a supply agreement for Compact Battery Energy Storage Systems prototyping between GigaFactory Malaysia and Milan Utama, and a key partnership between Infineon Technologies and Ampace.
