The Apple iOS 26.4.1 update is now available with bug fixes
Apple today released iOS 26.4.1 (23E254) and iPadOS 26.4.1 updates for iPhone and iPad users, approximately two weeks after iOS 26.4 and iPadOS 26.4 were released. So, what should you know about it?
This update fixed a significant issue
According to Apple, the update contains bug fixes, but no further details were shared. According to Apple's security page, iOS 26.4.1 and iPadOS 26.4.1 also do not have any published CVE entries. However, a 9to5Mac report states that this update actually fixes a significant issue related to iCloud data syncing.
Previously, developers found that devices running iOS 26.4 were not receiving iCloud change notifications, thus affecting the data synchronisation process for applications that use the CloudKit framework, including Apple's Passwords app. The issue has now been fixed in iOS 26.4.1. Users can install the iOS 26.4.1 update over-the-air (OTA) via Settings > General > Software Update > Update Now.
