Camera-free Meta Ray-Ban Meta Audio and Gen 3 AI Glasses revealed from ~RM1,016

Apparently responding to public demands, Meta recently introduced camera-free smart glasses powered by the new Muse AI agent with the Ray-Ban Meta Audio starting at $349 (~RM1,424) ahead of its 13 October release. The upgraded Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 is available starting at $449 (~RM1,832) along with the more affordable Meta Adventurer with a plug-in case, priced from $249 (~RM1,016). No Malaysia release dates or pricing details yet, but they are coming to Malaysia sometime this year.

Going camera-free… and then upgrading the camera elsewhere

The newly launched Ray-Ban Meta Audio smartglasses ditch the camera entirely to bring lightweight open-ear sound in Clubmaster and Burbank styles. Weighing just 43 grams, they offer professional-adjustable temple tips, adjustable nose pads, up to 12 hours of battery life on a single charge, and an additional 48 hours via the included charging case. 

For those who still insist on hands-free photo and video capture, the Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 features a 12MP camera, 3K Ultra HD video recording, 9 hours of battery life, a customizable action button, and a 6-mic array cutting over 90% of background noise. Gen 3 models will also receive support for Dolby Atmos 360-degree spatial audio capture later this year.

More designer choices and coming to Malaysia?

Meta is expanding consumer choice with over 100 style combinations across Ray-Ban, Oakley, and Meta Glasses, including new Capri and Nova styles alongside a Mix and Match customization program. Highlights include an all-new LISA collection featuring custom star frame accents, pet-inspired case charms, and digital photocards across Adventurer and Capri frames starting at $399 (~RM1,628). You can also opt for the new Ivory Starfire style by Kylie Jenner, or a limited-edition Gen 3 Aviator in Milky Warm Beige celebrating the 90th anniversary of the Ray-Ban Aviator.

Every pair integrates directly with the Muse AI agent, letting you manage daily schedules, set action plans, and receive live conversation translations using simple voice commands. While initial rollout has already begun in select countries like Singapore and South Korea, official Malaysia release dates and final local Malaysia price details for the Oakley Meta and Ray-Ban Meta lineups will be confirmed when they arrive in Malaysia later this year.
