YTL AI Labs partners MyDigital ID to enable secure SSO for ILMUchat
YTL AI Labs has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with MyDigital ID to integrate the national digital identity platform into its AI chatbot, ILMUchat. The announcement was made during the “MyDigital ID: Powering Trusted Digital Access Across Malaysia’s Digital Ecosystem” forum, marking a step forward in simplifying secure access to digital services.
Streamlined Access Through Single Sign-On
The integration will allow Malaysians to log in to ILMUchat using MyDigital ID, eliminating the need to create separate credentials. This enables a seamless Single Sign-On experience, improving both convenience and accessibility for users engaging with the AI platform.
MyDigital ID operates under the supervision of the Prime Minister’s Department Malaysia and is monitored by the National Cyber Security Agency. It serves as a secure and trusted method for verifying digital identities by connecting directly to government databases without storing personal data. The platform is designed to complement MyKad, offering a unified digital credential that simplifies access to online services across Malaysia’s growing digital ecosystem.
During a panel session titled “Dialogue: Digital Done Right – Scaling Trust, Access and Experience,” Fadrizul Hasani emphasised that trust is fundamental to scaling digital innovation. He highlighted the company’s support for the government’s vision of building a unified, secure, and interoperable digital ecosystem through MyDigital ID.
Advancing Malaysia’s Digital Ecosystem
With this move, YTL AI Labs is positioning ILMUchat as a more accessible and secure AI service for Malaysians. The integration reflects a broader push to enhance user experience while strengthening trust in digital platforms, aligning with national efforts to expand secure digital access across the country.
