GXBank celebrates 2nd Anniversary with 4.00% p.a. interest Bonus Pocket and more

After its debut two years ago, GXBank is celebrating its second anniversary with a clear reaffirmation of its founding mission: to make banking in Malaysia more accessible, inclusive and empowering. CEO Kaushik Chowdhury (KC) said the bank set out to revolutionise the industry, and is now demonstrating the real-world impact of a purpose-led, technology-first approach.

Over the past year, GXBank surpassed one million transaction customers and processed more than 220 million transactions. Chowdhury emphasised that the bank’s use of AI and data is focused on delivering essential financial utility, especially for underserved Malaysians who have historically lacked meaningful access.

Real Impact for Malaysian Households

GXBank’s rapid customer growth reflects improvements in financial resilience and everyday support. In 2025 alone, customers collectively earned RM24 million in interest through savings on the platform. FlexiCredit adoption continues to rise, with more than 120000 drawdowns recorded. About 60% of users used the facility for emergencies such as medical bills or car repairs, while close to 50% used it to manage daily expenses. Customer surveys also indicate that nearly half of users are improving their money habits and credit scores through timely repayments.

The bank’s social-impact initiative, Impian GIGih, has provided bursaries to over 1700 underprivileged students and is currently sponsoring 18 young Malaysians in tertiary education.

AI as the Engine of Inclusion

GXBank highlights that its technology stack is built for safety, accessibility and efficiency. Its systems utilise Adaptive Authentication, Predictive Fraud Prompts and Active Selfie Checks for motion-verified identity confirmation, security layers designed to minimise scams and device spoofing. These advancements contribute to faster onboarding, quicker credit approvals and shorter renewal times while enhancing fraud detection for vulnerable users.

Empowering MSMEs Through Faster, Flexible Financing

GXBank is also expanding support for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through Business Banking and the Jaguh Niaga programme. According to Deputy CEO/COO Hildah Hamzah, the GX FlexiLoan has already disbursed RM25 million since its rollout in September. MSMEs are now able to open accounts and apply for loans in as little as eight minutes.

The 1,000,000+ Impian Malaysia Campaign

To commemorate the anniversary, GXBank launched its new 1,000,000+ Impian Malaysia campaign, aimed at helping families and businesses achieve long-term financial goals. The initiative includes enhanced savings returns and business-banking benefits, such as a limited-time 4.00% p.a. interest via Bonus Pocket and 3.00% p.a. daily interest for GX Biz Banking deposits, alongside a zero-interest first-month loan repayment incentive for MSMEs.

Hildah noted that the campaign represents GXBank’s commitment to removing persistent financial barriers by offering Malaysians practical tools, stronger support structures and more opportunities to improve their financial standing.

Supported by Partners and Collaborators

GXBank’s celebration also brought together its ecosystem of partners — including organisations that have contributed to the bank’s development — as it continues scaling digital banking benefits for consumers and businesses nationwide. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
