Pleasant weather week expected for Latvia

There will be more cloud cover in the north of Vidzeme, but the sun will often shine there as well. Rain is not expected.

A slow easterly to south-easterly wind will blow and the maximum air temperature in most of the country will be in the range of +17 Celsius to +22 Celsius, with Liepāja and its vicinity enjoying a slightly warmer +23 C. 

On Monday and Tuesday a yellow (potential danger) warning is in place along the easternmost part of Latvia for forest fires due to very dry conditions, so take care if you are doing anything with a naked flame.

According to the Latvian Environment Geology and Meteorology Center (LVĢMC) on Tuesday. The day is expected to be pleasantly warm, the thermometer will rise to +20...+24°.

As the influence of the cyclone intensifies in the middle of  the week  , the weather will change and a precipitation zone will cross Latvia from the west bringing rain mainly to western and central areas. The wind will gradually become stronger and will blow from the south, with gusts reaching up to 15 m/s. The nights are expected to remain mild, and during the day it will warm up to +21 C.

Currently, forecasts show that the weather will become autumnal during next weekend - it will rain more often, gusty winds are expected, and the air temperature will gradually drop.
