Actor Ameesha Patel has returned to Mumbai after an unexpected and exhausting journey that saw her flight diverted to Muscat following the temporary closure of UAE airspace.

Sharing an update on X on Monday, the actor posted a photo with her travel companion and wrote, “Finallyyyyyyy MUMBAI!!! Thank you everyone for all your prayers (sic).”

Earlier, Patel had detailed the disruption on social media, describing the tense situation as it unfolded. “On my way back to MUMBAI from NEW YORK on Emirates! She was travelling with DJ Chetas and producer Kunal Goomer. In a subsequent post, Patel shared another image from the airport lounge, highlighting the prolonged delay. “24 hours from the time we left NYC and still counting hours to reach Mumbai. Endless airport lounge time (sic),” she added.

According to the actor, the diversion occurred just as the flight was preparing to land in Dubai, leaving passengers waiting for further instructions as uncertainty around departures continued.

On the work front, Patel was last seen in Tauba Tera Jalwa, which underperformed at the box office. Her most recent commercial success remains Gadar 2, where she starred alongside Sunny Deol.
