A car ride turned into a night of horror for a 24-year-old woman after a man allegedly lured her out for momos and sexually harassed her inside a moving vehicle in East Delhi's Mandawali area. However, the survivor's ordeal did not end there.

In her complaint, the woman alleged that the accused, who was known to her, lured her into stepping out by saying they would go out to eat momos. She said he later insisted on stopping to refill the car with CNG before driving towards a deserted stretch.

The woman alleged that while they were in the car, the man made obscene comments, demanded sexual favours, touched her inappropriately and prevented her from getting out of the vehicle. She also told police that she recorded the incident on her mobile phone during the alleged assault.

Based on her complaint, the Mandawali Police registered an FIR under the relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Delhi Police said the accused has been arrested and that further investigation is underway.

According to the woman's complaint, what began as an evening outing ended in an alleged sexual assault attempt inside a moving car, where the accused repeatedly told her it was "just two minutes" and demanded sexual favours.

The 24-year-old alleged that on May 29, Vikas came to her room to change his clothes before suggesting they go out for momos. They drove to Pandav Nagar, had food and later returned to her room.

Once there, the accused changed into his blue Ola-Uber uniform. When she asked him to leave, he refused.

The woman said she then stepped outside on the pretext of going to a nearby park. When she called Vikas to ask where he was, he allegedly told her that he had her water bottle and asked her to come downstairs to collect it.

According to the complaint, when she reached downstairs, Vikas asked her to accompany him to refill the car with CNG. She refused, but alleged that he had already taken the key to her room and sat inside his car, forcing her to accompany him to retrieve it.

After refuelling, instead of dropping her home, the woman alleged that Vikas drove towards a deserted stretch.

Inside the moving car, she alleged, he touched her inappropriately and demanded sexual favours. When she objected and asked him to take her home, he allegedly replied, "What's the big deal in spending two minutes with me? If you won't do it from the front, then let me do it from the back."

The woman said she broke down in tears and repeatedly pleaded with him to let her go. But, according to her complaint, he persisted.

"I have to do this. Stop creating so much drama. It's just a matter of two minutes. Lie down on the back seat," he allegedly told her.

When she refused again, the accused allegedly made further obscene remarks, claiming that she was already involved with another man and asking why "two minutes" with him would make any difference. He allegedly assured her it would be over quickly before dropping her back home.

The woman said she told him she would rather die than comply.

According to the complaint, he responded by saying, "Even if you die, I'll carry you to your room and do it there."

Fearing for her safety, she began screaming inside the moving car and repeatedly banged on the windows with her hands and feet. She alleged that only then did the accused stop the vehicle and let her out on the roadside.

As he drove away, she alleged, he threatened to ruin her life and kill her.

The woman said she immediately called a person named Govind and narrated the incident. Since he was in his village, he could not come to her help. She also encountered a police officer on the way home but said she was too frightened to disclose what had happened. According to the complaint, the officer arranged an auto-rickshaw for her to return home.

She later informed her father about the incident and subsequently approached the police, seeking strict action against the accused.
