Citroen has expanded its India portfolio with new variants of the Aircross X and Basalt X, while the eC3X electric hatchback gets an increased claimed range of 330km. Prices for the new models start at Rs 9.99 lakh, ex-showroom.

The latest update broadens the choice of engines and equipment available with the two SUVs. Citroen has introduced the YOU Turbo variants, making the 110hp 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine available lower down the range. At the other end, the MAX variants can now be specified with the 82hp naturally aspirated version of the 1.2-litre petrol engine.

The naturally aspirated engine is also available with CNG across the range. However, Citroen has not disclosed the individual prices or specifications of the CNG variants yet.

The new Aircross X and Basalt X variants also bring additional equipment. The base YOU trims can be specified with a Comfort Edition package for an additional Rs 20,000. This package adds ambient lighting, a 10.25-inch touchscreen and beige leatherette upholstery.

The new Citroen Basalt X YOU Turbo is priced at Rs 9.99 lakh, while the Aircross X YOU Turbo Comfort Edition costs Rs 10.69 lakh. The Basalt X MAX NA is priced at Rs 11.34 lakh, with the corresponding Aircross X MAX NA costing Rs 11.62 lakh. All prices are introductory and ex-showroom.

Citroen eC3X gets 330km range

Alongside the SUV updates, Citroen has also enhanced the eC3X electric hatchback. The updated model now has a claimed MIDC range of 330km, up from 325km previously.

Citroen says improvements in energy efficiency and energy utilisation have helped increase the driving range. The eC3X EXTENDED is also available with a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) ownership model, with prices starting at Rs 6.99 lakh, plus a battery rental charge of Rs 2.26 per km.

New Citroen finance scheme

Citroen is also introducing a step-up finance scheme for the new models, with loan tenures of up to seven years. The structure is designed to keep the EMI lower during the initial years of ownership compared with a conventional loan.

Under the scheme, the Basalt X range has an EMI starting at Rs 9,999, while the Aircross X starts at Rs 10,555. The company says the introductory EMI applies for the first year of the loan tenure.

The updated Aircross X, Basalt X and eC3X EXTENDED are available across Citroen dealerships in India from September 7, 2026.
