Samsung is preparing to launch its next big smartphone series in 2027. Even though the official release is still a long way off, the internet is already buzzing with leaks and rumours. The upcoming Galaxy S27 lineup is expected to be the company's next-generation flagship, and fresh reports are giving us a clear idea of what to expect. From screen sizes to memory options, here is a simple breakdown of the latest Galaxy S27 leaks.

Familiar Design and Display Sizes

Recent images of screen protectors have surfaced online, shared by SammyGuru. These pictures give us a great hint about the display sizes of the upcoming phones. The standard Galaxy S27 is expected to be the most compact with a 6.27-inch screen. The middle variant, the Galaxy S27 Plus, could sport a larger 6.66-inch display, while the top-tier Galaxy S27 Ultra is tipped to get a massive 6.89-inch screen.

When it comes to the overall look, Samsung seems to be playing it safe. The design language appears very similar to the current generation, featuring rounded corners and a familiar punch-hole cutout in the center for the selfie camera. However, buyers going for the expensive Galaxy S27 Ultra might notice slightly thinner borders around the screen compared to the older models.

The Mystery of the Galaxy S27 Pro

For the past few weeks, there have been strong rumours that Samsung might introduce a brand new fourth model called the Galaxy S27 Pro. This phone is rumoured to have a 6.47-inch display, placing it right between the standard and the Plus models in terms of size.

Interestingly, the newly leaked screen protectors do not include this Pro version at all. This absence suggests that Samsung might still be finalising the design, or the company could simply decide to skip the Pro model entirely.

RAM, Storage, and Rising Costs

Beyond the screens, we also have fresh details about the internal hardware. A tipster on X, who goes by the name @kro_roe, has shared the expected memory configurations. The base Galaxy S27 and the Galaxy S27 Plus are likely to offer up to 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of internal storage.

If the rumoured Pro model does launch, it is expected to feature a solid 12GB of RAM. The most premium phone of the lot, the Galaxy S27 Ultra, could take things further with a massive 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage space.

However, the tipster also highlighted a major concern regarding rising component costs in the tech industry. Because memory parts are getting more expensive to buy, Samsung might have to make some tough choices.

The company is reportedly thinking about using different types of storage technologies across the lineup to save money. This rising cost could also mean that the Galaxy S27 series might launch at a higher price than usual. Furthermore, Samsung might reduce its traditional launch promotions, where they usually give buyers a free storage upgrade.

Software and Launch Offers

When the Galaxy S27 series officially arrives in early 2027, the smartphones are reportedly expected to run on Samsung's new One UI 9.5 software. Even though phone prices might increase, Samsung is still expected to bundle some exciting launch benefits to attract buyers.

Just like previous years, early customers might get special discounts on Galaxy Buds and Galaxy Watches, along with charger coupons and free Google service subscriptions for up to a year.
