- WWDC 2026 to be held from June 8 to June 12

Apple has finally confirmed the dates for its Worldwide Developers Conference, (WWDC) 2026. The conference will kick off on June 8 with the keynote set for 10 am PDT (10:30 pm IST). WWDC 2026 will span five days, concluding on June 12.
Apple stated on its official website that WWDC 2026 will bring together developers to “explore the tools, frameworks, and technologies” to build new experiences on Apple platforms. The company states that it has invited over 1,000 developers, designers and students for the event.
Apple has also sent invitations to members of the media for an in-person keynote viewing at Apple Park. Keep in mind that this will be the last WWDC for Tim Cook as Apple CEO – with John Ternus succeeding him on September 1. And to make the event special, Apple may have a lot in store.
Apple WWDC 2026 keynote and sessions
The WWDC 2026 keynote will begin on June 8. You can watch it live on Apple’s website, the Apple TV app and Apple’s YouTube channel. The company has teased that it will show its latest updates for its platforms during the keynote, but more on that later.
Following the keynote, there will be the Platforms State of the Union. This will delve deeper into new features and technologies for developers to build on Apple’s platforms, as per the Cupertino giant.
Apple will also release video guides, and live Q&A with Apple engineers via Group Labs, online.
And there’s the Apple Design Awards. This year, Apple has 36 finalists in categories such as “delight and fun,” “social impact,” and “visuals and graphics.” The company says that the winners of the awards will be announced in the coming weeks.
Apple will also provide a three-day experience at WWDC for 50 winners of its Swift Student Challenge – that aims to support student developers.
What to expect from Apple’s WWDC 2026?
Last year, Apple’s Liquid Glass theme for IOS 26 became the talking point for WWDC 2025. And a year before that, it was Apple Intelligence.
The highlight for this year’s WWDC is expected to be the new Siri. Apple has been working on Siri for some time now, and will likely showcase the Gemini-powered Siri during the conference. The revamped Siri is expected to bring a ton of new features, and may make it similar to a chatbot, akin to ChatGPT. You can read more about what to expect from a new Siri here.
Do note that Siri’s revamp will likely be part of iOS 27, something we also expect to see during WWDC 2026. While significant design changes are unlikely, you can expect some tweaks to the interface. Apart from iOS 27, Apple will likely also reveal MacOS 27, iPadOS 27, VisionOS 27, and more.
Where to watch WWDC 2026?
While the keynote for WWDC 2026 will be available to watch live on the Apple website and its YouTube channel, you will need to tune in to Apple’s developer website and YouTube channel to watch other sessions, including the Platforms State of the Union.
