by Saumya Shubham Jha · India TodayBajaj Auto has expanded the Pulsar N160 lineup with the introduction of a new variant priced at Rs 1.22 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The latest addition to the range brings a more premium hardware package and feature set, aimed at riders seeking a sportier and more engaging everyday commuter motorcycle.
The key highlight of the new Pulsar N160 variant is the inclusion of gold-finished upside-down (USD) front forks, giving the motorcycle a more aggressive visual appeal while also promising improved front-end stability and handling characteristics. Bajaj has also equipped the bike with dual-channel ABS, assist and slipper clutch, LED projector headlamp, USB Type-C charging port and a single-piece seat setup.
According to the company, the new variant has been designed to make premium sports motorcycling more accessible, while continuing to carry forward the “Definitely Daring” philosophy associated with the Pulsar brand.
Apart from the feature additions, the motorcycle remains mechanically unchanged. Power continues to come from the 164.82cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine that produces 16bhp @ 8,750rpm and 14.65Nm of torque at 6,750rpm, paired with a 5-speed gearbox.
The Pulsar N160 rides on 17-inch alloy wheels and gets disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS. The motorcycle also retains its digital LCD instrument console, while higher variants in the lineup continue to offer Bluetooth connectivity and ride modes.
Bajaj will continue offering the Pulsar N160 in multiple variants, including single-channel ABS, dual-channel ABS, USD fork-equipped and split-seat versions. Colour options on offer include Pearl Metallic White, Racing Red, Grey and Brooklyn Black.
With this update, the Pulsar N160 strengthens its position in the competitive 160cc segment, where it rivals motorcycles such as the TVS Apache RTR 160, Suzuki Gixxer, Yamaha FZ and Hero Xtreme 160R 4V.
