Nothing Headphone 1 Pro launched with triple drivers, 10-Mic ANC and 68-Hour Battery Life

Nothing Headphone 1 Pro has launched as the brand's new flagship over-ear headphones. It features 10-microphone ANC and dynamic spatial audio with head tracking. The headphones also offer up to 68 hours of battery life without ANC and come with an aluminium and titanium build.

After a string of teasers, Nothing has finally pulled the curtain back on the Headphone 1 Pro. It's the brand's new flagship over-ear headphones, and it's aimed squarely at the premium crowd currently dominated by Sony, Apple and Bose. It keeps the design spirit of last year’s Headphone 1 but adds a three-driver sound system, sharper noise cancellation, a bigger battery and a more premium build. It also costs more than the original, which we'll get to below.

Nothing Headphone 1 Pro specs and features

The Headphone 1 Pro uses three drivers, each with its own job. A 40mm dynamic driver handles the bass, a 13x8mm precision dynamic driver covers the middle, and a tiny xMEMS driver with a silicone diaphragm takes care of the treble. Frequency response runs from 20Hz to 40,000Hz, and the headphones are Hi-Res Audio certified. There's tuning developed with Metropolis Studios, plus Personal Sound and a Flat EQ option, which you can toggle with the dedicated Switch button.

Dynamic Spatial Audio with head tracking should make the music feel like it's happening around you. You can pick from Standard, Live House, Club and Concert Hall modes, or try a special mode based on Metropolis Studios' Studio B.

Nothing has fitted 10 microphones in total. The real-time adaptive ANC is claimed to cut up to 46dB of noise, and there's a Transparency mode for when you need to hear the world. Calls get help from a four-microphone algorithm.

The look will be familiar if you know the original Headphone 1, but the materials are a step up. The frame uses aluminium and lightweight titanium, and each ear cup has a scratch-resistant glass enclosure. The headband is 10 per cent wider, the padding is thicker, and the cups are more flexible with softer cushions. The headphones weigh 327g, are IP52 rated for dust and water resistance, and use tactile switches for controls.

The headphones support Bluetooth 6.1, Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair, instant setup on Apple devices and dual-device connection. They also offer a low-latency mode and auto-wear detection. For codecs, you get AAC, SBC, LDAC and LC3, along with lossless audio over USB-C.

The 1,060mAh battery is rated for up to 30 hours with ANC on and up to 68 hours with it off, using AAC. On LDAC, that becomes up to 28 hours with ANC and up to 53 hours without. Fast charging over USB-C is supported, and a padded carrying case comes in the box.

Nothing Headphone 1 Pro price and availability

The Nothing Headphone 1 Pro is priced at $399 (roughly Rs. 38,300) in the US, about $100 (roughly Rs. 9,600) more than the original Headphone 1 at launch. It comes in Black and White.

The headphones go on sale on September 29 through Nothing's website, Amazon and Best Buy stores in North America. They're already listed on Nothing's India website, but the company hasn't yet announced the Indian price or availability date.
