Xiaomi 18 Pro, 18 Pro Max launched with 200MP cameras and up to 8,500mAh battery

Xiaomi has launched the 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max in China. Both of the devices have triple camera setups, including two 200MP sensors. The company has also unveiled the Pad 9 Pro and Pad 9 alongside the new flagship smartphones. Here are the specifications, features and rest details.

Xiaomi launched its next-generation flagship, the Xiaomi Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max, in China. The new devices retain almost the same design as their predecessors, featuring a secondary display on the back, but come with notable upgrades in specifications and features. They carry the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 series chipsets and break cover alongside Pad 9 Pro and Pad 9 tablets. The new tablets now join the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max, which was launched earlier this month. The Xiaomi 18 Pro series is soon to go on sale via the company’s website, offering buyers the choice of four colour options.

Xiaomi 18 Pro, Xiaomi 18 Pro Max specs and features

The Xiaomi 18 Pro comes with a 6.4-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling rate and up to 4,000 nits peak brightness. The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max gets a larger 6.9-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display with the same 120Hz refresh rate, touch sampling and peak brightness. Both screens also support DCI-P3 colour gamut and a new Privacy Display feature designed to reduce viewing angles and help prevent people nearby from looking at the screen.

On the back, both phones have a secondary AMOLED display. The Xiaomi 18 Pro gets a 2.7-inch panel, while the Pro Max features a slightly larger 2.9-inch display. Both secondary screens support a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 4,000 nits peak brightness.

Under the hood, the Xiaomi 18 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset, while the Pro Max gets the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. Both chipsets are built on a 2nm process and can reach a peak clock speed of 5GHz. The phones come with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage.

For cameras, both smartphones feature a triple rear camera setup. This includes a 200-megapixel primary camera with OIS, a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with OIS and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera with a 102-degree field of view. The phones can record videos in up to 8K at 30fps and also have a 50-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls.

The Xiaomi 18 Pro packs a 7,000mAh battery, while the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max gets an even larger 8,500mAh battery. Both support 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, along with 27W wired reverse charging. Other features include an in-display fingerprint scanner and face unlock. Both phones run Xiaomi's HyperOS 4 based on Android 17.

Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro and Pad 9 specs and features

Alongside the smartphones, Xiaomi has launched the Pad 9 Pro and Pad 9 tablets. The Pad 9 Pro comes with a 12.5-inch LCD display with a 3.2K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset and comes with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage.

For cameras, the tablet features a 50-megapixel rear camera and a 32-megapixel front camera. It packs an 11,000mAh battery with support for 67W wired fast charging.

The Xiaomi Pad 9 gets a slightly smaller 11.2-inch display with the same 3.2K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset and is available with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

The Pad 9 features a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. It packs a 9,720mAh battery with 45W fast charging. Both tablets support reverse wired charging and quad speakers with Dolby Atmos. The Pad 9 Pro gets Black, Silver and Spruce Green colour options, while the Pad 9 is available in Black, Ice Peach Pink, Silver and Spruce Green.

Xiaomi 18 Pro, 18 Pro Max, Pad 9 Pro and Pad 9 price

The Xiaomi 18 Pro starts at CNY 5,999, which is roughly Rs 86,000 in India, for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The 12GB/512GB model costs CNY 6,999 (around Rs1,00,000) while the 16GB/ 512GB version is priced at CNY 7,999 (around Rs1,14,000). The 16GB/1TB model costs CNY 8,999 (roughly Rs 1,29,000). The transparent 16GB/ 1TB version costs CNY 9,999 (around Rs 1,43,000).

The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max starts at CNY 6,999, roughly Rs 1,00,000, for the 12GB/ 256GB variant. The 12GB/ 512GB model costs CNY 7,999 (around Rs1,14,000), while the 16GB/512GB version is priced at CNY 8,999 (around Rs1,29,000). The 16GB/1TB model costs CNY 9,999 (around Rs1,43,000), while the transparent version is priced at CNY 10,999, around Rs1,57,000.

The Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro starts at CNY 3,799 (roughly Rs 54,279) for the 8GB/128GB variant. The 8GB/256GB model costs CNY 4,099 (around Rs58,566), while the 12GB/ 256GB version is priced at CNY 4,599 (around Rs65,726). The top-end 16GB model costs CNY 4,999, roughly Rs 71,442.

Finally, the Xiaomi Pad 9 starts at CNY 2,999 (around Rs 42,851) for the 8GB/128GB model. The 8GB/256GB version costs CNY 3,299 (approximately Rs 47,137), while the 8GB/256GB soft light edition is priced at CNY 3,499 (around Rs 50,001).
