Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna's Cocktail 2 continues to hold steady at the box office. The romantic drama has crossed Rs 114.67 crore worldwide after eight days in theatres and is now inching closer to surpassing the lifetime domestic collection of Shahid and Kriti's previous outing, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya.
On its eighth day, Cocktail 2 collected Rs 5.10 crore gross and Rs 4.25 crore nett in India, with the film running across 5,965 shows.
The film's worldwide gross collection now stands at Rs 114.67 crore, comprising Rs 89.17 crore from the Indian market and Rs 25.50 crore overseas. Its India nett collection has reached Rs 74.75 crore after eight days, with the film being screened across 75,071 shows so far.

The film had wrapped up its first week with Rs 70.50 crore nett at the domestic box office after earning Rs 4.15 crore on Thursday. It had collected Rs 5.25 crore on Wednesday, witnessing a marginal dip in collections.
Cocktail 2 opened strongly with Rs 13.50 crore on its first day and saw impressive growth over the weekend, collecting Rs 16.25 crore on Saturday and Rs 17.75 crore on Sunday. As expected, collections dipped on Monday to Rs 6.75 crore, a figure the film maintained on Tuesday as well.

With its current pace, Cocktail 2 is expected to soon overtake the lifetime domestic collection of Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon's previous collaboration, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, which had earned Rs 85.16 crore nett during its theatrical run.
The film now needs another Rs 10.41 crore nett to surpass that milestone. Globally, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya had collected Rs 139 crore, meaning Cocktail 2 requires Rs 24.33 crore more worldwide to overtake its overall box office haul.
Directed by Homi Adajania and written by Luv Ranjan and Tarun Jain, Cocktail 2 serves as a spiritual successor to the 2012 hit Cocktail. The film is produced by Dinesh Vijan, Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg under Maddock Films and Luv Films.
While the original starred Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty, the new instalment features Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles.
