Samsung has announced its new affordable Galaxy S24 – the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE – in India. The phone is the successor to the Galaxy S23 FE and features AI-based ProVisual Engine and Galaxy AI’s Photo Assist features to offer users an enhanced camera experience. The device also comes equipped with a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, a long-lasting 4,700mAh battery, and a powerful Exynos 2400 series chipset.

Samsung has launched its new Galaxy S24 FE in various colour options, including Blue, Graphite, Gray, Mint, and Yellow. The phone will be available for sale in India starting October 3.

As for pricing, the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE comes with 8GB of RAM and three storage options: 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB. However, the pricing in India is not yet confirmed. In Europe, the Galaxy S24 FE is priced at EUR 749 (roughly Rs. 70,000) for the 128GB variant and EUR 809 (roughly Rs. 75,600) for the 256GB variant.

Samsung Galaxy S24 FE specifications

The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE features the Exynos 2400 series chipset, designed for high performance in tasks like gaming and multitasking. On the front, it has a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The device includes a 4,700mAh battery and improved heat management, thanks to a larger vapour chamber, supporting extended usage without performance loss.

The camera system of the new Galaxy S24 FE includes a 50-megapixel wide lens, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. Samsung’s ProVisual Engine uses AI to enhance image quality, particularly in low light, with its Nightography feature. The system also includes AI-powered zoom and object-aware processing for improved detail and colour accuracy in photos. On the front, there is a 10-megapixel camera for selfies, with AI tools for editing and enhancing images.

Just like the flagship Galaxy S24 series, the affordable Galaxy S24 FE includes several AI-based tools, such as quick search functionality, offline translation, and automated text generation in apps. Note-taking features include voice transcription, translation, and PDF overlay functions. The device integrates well within the broader Samsung ecosystem, allowing for file sharing and extended display support with other devices.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE also comes with Samsung Knox and offers IP68-rated water and dust resistance. It incorporates recycled materials in its design and packaging. The phone runs Android 14 with One UI 6.1 and is set to receive seven years of OS and security updates, extending its support period.
