Tata Motors has launched the Intra EV Pickup at Rs 11.95 lakh, expanding its electric CV lineup with a high-payload, long-range solution tailored for efficient and sustainable cargo operations.
by Auto Today · India TodayTata Motors has expanded its electric commercial vehicle (CV) portfolio with the launch of the all-new Intra EV Pickup, further strengthening its position in India’s growing electric mobility space. Priced at Rs 11.95 lakh (ex-showroom), the electric pickup is now available across the company’s commercial vehicle dealerships nationwide.
Built on the brand’s established Intra platform, the new Intra EV introduces a purpose-developed electric architecture aimed at improving operational efficiency and reducing running costs for cargo operators. With this launch, Tata Motors continues to broaden what it claims is the country’s most comprehensive electric CV lineup, spanning mini trucks, buses, and now electric pickups.
The Intra EV Pickup has been engineered with a focus on productivity and real-world usability. It offers a payload capacity of 1,750kg along with a load body length of up to 10 ft 2 in, making it suitable for a wide range of applications including e-commerce, FMCG distribution, cold-chain logistics and municipal operations. Powering the vehicle is a 72kW electric motor producing 230Nm of torque, enabling strong load-carrying performance along with a gradeability of 23 percent for challenging terrain.
Energy is supplied by a 28.2kWh battery pack, which delivers a certified range of 211km on a single charge. The battery is IP67-rated for durability in varied operating conditions, while fast-charging capability allows a 10 to 80 percent charge in approximately 55 minutes using a CCS2 charger. Tata Motors is also offering a 6-year or 2 lakh km warranty on the high-voltage battery, underlining its focus on long-term reliability.
On the technology front, the pickup features an Electronic Braking System and three levels of regenerative braking to enhance efficiency and vehicle control. It also comes equipped with the company’s Fleet Edge platform, enabling real-time tracking, vehicle diagnostics and predictive maintenance insights for fleet operators.
The cabin has been designed with driver comfort in mind, featuring a walk-through layout, car-like ergonomics and Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS). The inherently low noise and vibration levels of the electric drivetrain further contribute to reduced driver fatigue during long working hours.
The Intra EV Pickup is supported by Tata Motors’ expanding EV ecosystem, which includes over 25,000 charging points, more than 200 dedicated EV service centres and home-charging solutions. The company is also working with financial institutions to offer tailored financing options and flexible repayment plans, easing the transition to electric mobility for businesses.
With this addition, the Intra EV Pickup joins the Ace EV 1000 and Ace Pro EV in Tata Motors’ small electric CV lineup, reinforcing the brand’s push to make electric cargo transport more accessible, efficient and scalable in India.
