Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched the Glanza facelift, with prices ranging from Rs 6.99 lakh to Rs 10.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated premium hatchback is available in five variants: E, S, G, V and V (O). Along with cosmetic revisions, the Glanza receives a new three-cylinder petrol engine, additional comfort features and a Level 2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) package.

The facelifted Glanza continues to share its platform and powertrain with the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, while competing with the Hyundai i20, Hyundai i20 N Line and Tata Altroz. Prices for the individual variants have not yet been fully disclosed, with Toyota announcing the starting prices of the five trims.

2026 Toyota Glanza facelift: Engine and gearbox

The biggest mechanical change is the introduction of Maruti Suzuki's Z12E 1.2-litre, three-cylinder naturally aspirated engine, replacing the outgoing four-cylinder unit. The engine supports both petrol and CNG operation.

In petrol mode, it develops 83bhp and 112Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between a five-speed manual gearbox and a five-speed automated manual transmission (AMT). Although the new engine produces 7bhp and 1Nm less than the previous petrol unit, Toyota claims improved fuel efficiency. An idle start/stop function is also included to help reduce fuel consumption.

In CNG mode, the engine produces 70bhp and 102Nm of torque. Unlike the previous setup, the updated Glanza's CNG version is also available with a five-speed manual or five-speed AMT, giving buyers an automatic transmission option with the alternative fuel powertrain.

2026 Toyota Glanza facelift: Exterior changes

The facelift brings subtle but noticeable changes to the front-end design. The hatchback gets a larger grille with satin-finish detailing on either side, while the LED fog lamps have been redesigned. The Toyota badge has been repositioned to the trim below the bonnet, and a radar module has been incorporated to support the new ADAS features.

The headlamps retain their existing design, while a shark-fin antenna is among the other additions. Toyota has also introduced two new exterior colour options: Digital Teal Green and Bluish Black.

The side profile remains largely unchanged, carrying forward the 16-inch alloy wheels, chrome door handles and chrome window-line detailing. At the rear, the wraparound LED tail-lamps, roof-mounted spoiler, rear wiper and washer continue without significant alterations.

2026 Toyota Glanza facelift: Interior and features

The cabin retains its existing dashboard layout, but Toyota has introduced new upholstery and additional equipment. The front seats now get ventilation, while a wireless phone charger with a dedicated cooling vent adds convenience. The audio system has also been upgraded to a Clarion unit with four speakers and two tweeters.

Another major addition is the Level 2 ADAS suite, which brings driver-assistance technology to the Glanza. The updated model also gains a tyre-pressure monitoring system (TPMS).

Existing equipment includes a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a monochrome head-up display, analogue instrument dials with a coloured multi-information display and automatic climate control with rear AC vents. The facelift also retains safety equipment such as six airbags as standard, a 360-degree camera, hill-hold control and ISOFIX child-seat anchors.

The latest update focuses on improving the Glanza's equipment and efficiency rather than making substantial changes to its overall design. The new three-cylinder engine is intended to lower fuel consumption, while ventilated front seats, wireless charging and Level 2 ADAS strengthen its feature list.

With the facelift, Toyota aims to keep the Glanza competitive in the premium hatchback segment, where buyers increasingly expect advanced safety technology and added convenience alongside affordable running costs.
