by Saumya Shubham Jha · India TodayHero MotoCorp has unveiled the Xpulse 450 at EICMA 2026, bringing a new 421cc liquid-cooled engine, fully adjustable suspension and smartphone connectivity features, including Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The motorcycle represents a significant upgrade over the Xpulse 210 and is positioned as the flagship offering in Hero's adventure motorcycle portfolio.
Here are five key highlights that make the Hero Xpulse 450 stand out at EICMA 2026.
All-new 421cc liquid-cooled engine
The biggest talking point is the Xpulse 450's newly developed 421cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, four-valve DOHC engine. It produces 46.7bhp at 9,100rpm and 38Nm of peak torque at 7,500rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and gets a slip-and-assist clutch as standard.
These figures represent a substantial jump over the Xpulse 210, which uses a 210cc engine producing 24.6bhp and 20.7Nm. The additional power and torque should make the Xpulse 450 better equipped for highway touring and demanding off-road trails.
Fully adjustable KYB suspension
The suspension package is another major highlight. At the front, the Xpulse 450 gets a 43mm KYB upside-down cartridge fork with 225mm of travel. Riders can adjust compression and rebound damping across 22 settings, allowing them to tailor the setup to different terrains and riding conditions.
The front suspension offers 15mm more travel than the Xpulse 210. Hero has also confirmed a fully adjustable rear suspension, although its detailed specifications are yet to be revealed.
Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity
Perhaps the most unusual feature on the Xpulse 450 is its smartphone integration. The adventure motorcycle gets an approximately 7-inch TFT instrument display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility.
This brings smartphone-based connectivity to the motorcycle's instrument console, allowing riders to access compatible features through the display. The integration is a notable addition to the adventure motorcycle segment, where navigation and connected features are becoming increasingly important for touring.
Off-road-focused hardware
Hero has equipped the Xpulse 450 with wire-spoke wheels designed to accommodate tubeless tyres. The showcased motorcycle appears to feature a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel combination, although the manufacturer is yet to confirm the complete wheel and tyre specifications.
The motorcycle has also been developed with inputs from Hero MotoSports Team Rally, underlining its focus on adventure riding and off-road capability. Combined with the long-travel suspension, the hardware points towards a motorcycle designed to handle varied terrain.
A new flagship for Hero's adventure motorcycle range
The Xpulse 450 represents Hero's move into a more powerful adventure motorcycle category. It will sit above the Xpulse 210 and other models in the company's adventure portfolio, including the Xpulse 200 and Xpulse 210 Dakar Edition.
Hero has confirmed that the motorcycle will reach international markets first, followed by India. However, its launch timeline and pricing have not yet been announced.
When it arrives in India, the Xpulse 450 is expected to compete with the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and KTM 390 Adventure range. Its combination of a larger engine, adjustable suspension and smartphone integration could help it carve out a distinct position in the segment.
