Siddhant Chaturvedi and Malavika Mohanan's Yudhra collected Rs 8.60 crore nett in its first weekend at the box office. The film opened at Rs 4.5 crore nett on Friday, and the collections only dropped on Saturday and Sunday. It earned Rs 1.75 crore on Saturday and Rs 2.35 crore on Sunday, reported the trade website Sacnilk.

The drop in business on Saturday and Sunday is a bad sign for any film at the box office. Most films see an upward trend at the ticket window during Sat-Sun, even if they are going to be rejected by the audience from Monday.

Directed by Ravi Udyawar and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under Excel Entertainment, Yudhra is reportedly made on a budget of Rs 50 crore. Considering its current pace, it will collect Rs 10 crore before the end of its first week at the box office. However, it is difficult to ascertain its lifetime run with hardly any traction from the audience.

Interestingly, Stree 2, which has been running in theatres for around 40 days now, collected more than Yudhra in its sixth weekend. The Amar Kaushik-directorial earned Rs 5 crore on its sixth Friday, Rs 3.65 crore on the following Saturday and Rs 4.85 crore on the sixth Sunday. The film has clearly emerged as the first choice for the audience at the box office, despite all the new releases and the re-releases.
