KEEP THE IDOL IN A CLEAN, SAFE PLACE

If Bappa arrives before the installation, place the murti on a clean stool or an elevated surface. Avoid keeping it directly on the floor. The area should be clean, stable and away from accidental disturbance. Families with children or pets should take extra care while choosing the temporary spot.

PREPARE THE PUJA SPACE BEFORE STHAPANA

Before Ganpati sthapana, clean the designated area and place a wooden chowki or platform. A red or yellow cloth is traditionally used, while a rangoli, flowers and a toran may be added around the space. The idol should be placed respectfully, with the puja area ready before the ritual begins.
